Rescue Listings

Due to issues with quarantine, resources, etc., I cannot take in rescues. But I do strongly encourage people to adopt their rats from a rescue. Rescued rats come from different backgrounds, but most often are loved pets that need a new home due to family issues or are pups from unplanned litters. These rats appreciate their new homes and people very much and are loving pets. The rescuers can often tell you a lot about their temperment and situation and can help pair the right rats with the right people.

Here are a few places you can begin a search for a new pet:
Petfinder.com: A nationwide database of shelters and rescues for all kinds of animals. Do a search of small pets for "rat"
The Ratster: An international directory of both breeders and rescues. Keep in mind that many rescues have a network to help arrange transportation.
